Reopening of Monheimer Tor and a public holiday with open shops!

Monheim Mitte, the city center of Monheim am Rhein, is becoming even more attractive for visitors. The new Monheimer Tor opens its doors and invites you to enjoy even more shopping on around 10,000 square meters: Go shopping in various clothing stores, discover jewelry and floral magic or enjoy delicious treats in two new cafés. You can then do your weekly grocery shopping in the fully renovated Edeka fresh food market and a bakery and watch movies in the new cinema. There is a coupon booklet with great discounts to mark the opening of the Monheimer Tor. The coupon booklet will be available from the end of September in the stores in Monheim Mitte and in the Rathauscenter.
The opening will be celebrated with a party to mark the two-year anniversary of Monheim Mitte with a public holiday with open shops on October 3 and a week full of events.

Enjoy a colorful program as part of the opening ceremony from Wednesday to Saturday.
Wednesday, October 2
From 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. there will be numerous attractions and events in Monheim Mitte. These include a stage program on Ingeborg-Friebe-Platz, cabaret, music, a balloon on the crane and activities for children on the town hall square. In the evening, live music and light shows on the facades will complete the program.
A public holiday with open shops on Thursday, October 3
For the first time, on the Day of German Unity, there will be a public holiday with open shops in Monheim am Rhein. Numerous stores will open their doors for you and invite the public to enjoy a day of shopping. There will also be a diverse entertainment program.
Cinema entertainment at the Monheimer Tor
The new multiplex cinema “Emotion” opens its doors on October 2. Cinema lovers of all ages will be able to follow their passion of movies.
