Roman Museum at Haus Bürgel
This is where history lessons come alive! Excavation finds from the Roman period are presented in a scientifically sound and visually attractive manner in the Roman Museum at Haus Bürgel. In eight exhibition rooms within the walls of the former fort, visitors are taken on an exciting journey through time.
Paving outside highlights the positions of several towers, a gate and the former fort bath. The Roman cemetery, from which many of the exhibits here originate, is also marked in the grounds. A historical kitchen garden displays vegetables and fragrant herbs from Germanic and Roman times as well as later eras, all planted by industrious volunteers. Come and take a look!
