Science slam under the apple tree on July 12, 2025
On Saturday, July 12, Haus Bürgel presents the 5th science slam under the apple tree. On the orchard meadow, young scientists will present the results of their research from a wide range of disciplines in a fun and entertaining way. In addition to exciting insights into science, cool drinks, cocktails and relaxed live music will also be provided on site.

Night at the museum on September 26, 2025
Dive into the fascinating history of Haus Bürgel. On Friday, September 26, the former Roman fort will open its doors as part of the regional museum night.
With free admission, the Roman Museum invites you to explore the exhibition on your own at a late hour or join a guided tour accompanied by a Roman legionary. In addition to Roman wine, there is also fresh bread from the Roman oven.

Sale of fresh fruit and local specialties at Haus Bürgel on October 2, 2025
On Thursday, October 2, from 3:00 p.m., the Biological Station's popular fruit sale awaits you at Haus Bürgel - a must for all apple lovers. Enjoy a selection of around 15 local apple varieties, including classics such as Gewürzluiken, Rheinische Schafsnase and Boskoop - tasting is allowed. The apples can be purchased for €3 per kilo.
In addition to apples, there are also a number of stalls selling regional specialties such as honey, jams and edible oils. The freshly squeezed apple juice from Bürgel in bag-in-box containers and fine fruit brandies from the meadow orchards of the Urdenbacher Kämpe are also available. Only while stocks last.
