Traveling exhibition about Anne Frank im Sojus 7
From March 17 to April 11, as part of the International Weeks against Racism at Sojus 7 on Kapellenstraße in Monheim, a traveling exhibition by the Anne Frank Zentrum Berlin and the Anne Frank House Amsterdam will be on display. In cooperation with Sojus 7, the Ulla Hahn House is showing an exhibition about the life of the Jewish girl Anne Frank during the Nazi era.
The exhibition highlights topics such as flight, anti-Semitism and life in hiding in a child-friendly way. Visitors can learn more about Anne Frank's life during the Second World War and her passion for books and writing. The exhibition is open Monday to Friday from 2 to 5 pm.
A special highlight awaits children and families on Friday, March 21, at 4:30 p.m.: Theater Löwenherz will perform a staged reading from “Anne Frank und der Baum” (Anne Frank and the tree). The chestnut tree that watched Anne Frank in hiding from the window will tell its story. After the reading, visitors can view the exhibition. Admission is free of charge.
School classes in grades 4 to 6 at Monheim schools can also book a 90-minute visit to the exhibition, including a workshop.
Registrations for the reading (course number K-25S-U525) can be made online, by e-mail to ullahahnhaus@monheim.de or by telephone on +49 2173 951-4140.
