Market at Haus Bürgel

A different kind of museum: just as the Forum Romanum was once a lively meeting point for trade, exchange and socializing, the Roman Fort Haus Bürgel will also be transformed into a marketplace for one day on International Museum Day on 18 May, making history come alive. From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., there will be a wide range of offers - from regional delicacies from local vendors to flea market stalls selling second-hand clothing and arts and crafts. There is something for every taste, and buying exclusively regional or second-hand products also sets an example for sustainable shopping. In addition, the Monheim am Rhein art school invites you to creatively design canvas bags and decorate them with stamps - ideal for transporting all your purchases in style.

As there are no parking spaces available at Haus Bürgel, we recommend arriving by public transport, bike or on foot. The nearest bus stop is “Haus Bürgel” and can be reached by bus 788.
