Day excursion boats and large hotel and cruise ships with a length of up to 135 meters can tie up in Monheim am Rhein. The modern pier on the Rhine promenade is located not far from the old town and is an excellent starting point for exploring the city and the region.

The Piwipper Böötchen is a ferry that carries passengers and bicycles, and also stops at Monheim’s jetty. Between April and October, you can cross over to the Dormagen side of the Rhine on weekends and public holidays without getting your feet wet.
