A family trip to Monheim am Rhein
Experience a varied and exciting day with the whole family. In the Children’s Capital, a wide range of leisure activities are just waiting for young and old visitors to discover and enjoy them.
Rheinbogen Landscape Park – a paradise for families
Start your day trip in the Rheinbogen Landscape Park, where spacious natural areas and exciting outdoor activities are close by. A large free parking lot, convenient bus links and cycling paths ensure you get there all relaxed.
In the Rheinbogen Landscape Park, children can look forward to a large playground with the Rogue’s Tower climbing frame and water features that invite them to splash around when temperatures are high. There is action aplenty in the neighboring skatepark – on skateboards, stunt scooters or BMX bikes. Next to the playground is one of Monheim’s two tourist information offices with a rental station for go-karts and bicycles. On these rental bikes, which don’t have to be reserved in advance, you can go on exciting bike rides through the countryside and along the dikes.
Nature tour on the Nature Discovery Trail
Nature is boring? Not at all! With the free explorer’s backpack and the activity booklet, it’s off to the Nature Discovery Trail. At eleven interactive stops along the way, children can solve tasks and puzzles together with their parents, discover flora and fauna with binoculars or examine them right up close with a magnifying glass.
Even more playgrounds and soccer fields!
On the playground, get set, go! In addition to the play area in the Rheinbogen Landscape Park, there are almost 70 other playgrounds in Monheim am Rhein: themed playgrounds, water playgrounds, modern soccer fields and sports fields for ambitious players and dribblers. Tip: at the Monheim city displays, you can also digitally explore the entire world of playgrounds in Monheim – age recommendations included. And they will also show you how to get to the next adventure. Discover new play opportunities in the Children’s Capital.
