Art Friday – Guided tour for senior citizens

Monheim am Rhein is increasingly evolving into a “city of art”. Since 2017, nine artworks have been brought to life in public spaces, with more continuously being added. Internationally renowned artists such as Tony Cragg and Markus Lüpertz have contributed to the creation of new landmarks.
To foster a deeper appreciation of Monheim am Rhein's artworks and facilitate discussions about them, the art school organizes guided tours exclusively for senior citizens every third Friday of the month. The meeting point for these tours is always the sculpture "Points of View" by Tony Cragg in the city center at Ingeborg-Friebe-Platz. From there, participants will embark on a leisurely walk or, if needed, take an autonomous bus to a selected artwork. These guided tours are free of charge.
