The crossroads system of the North Rhine-Westphalian Bicycle Network

The state-wide Bicycle Network of North Rhine-Westphalia (Radverkehrsnetz NRW)  is a comprehensive network of cycle-friendly routes with standardized signposting that connects all towns and municipalities in the state. You will also find this signposting in Monheim am Rhein.

In 2024, the popular hub system, which already exists in many regions of Germany, will also be launched in our city and throughout the Mettmann district. This will then make flexible route planning possible: where routes intersect, the signposting provides information about local and long-distance destinations and gives cyclists the option of spontaneously deciding to take a different route.
